Dear MSCA Librarians and Day Faculty,

The MSCA day contract ratification vote closed at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. The new contract, covering the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023, was ratified by an overwhelming margin, 98% in favor (1,519 votes) and 2% opposed (27 votes).

I would like to thank all who voted, and the MSCA day bargaining team for sticking together and fending off significant take-back language. While the across-the-board salary increases (2.5% – 2% – 2%) are far from adequate, they are increases that were decreed by Governor Baker and that other statewide unions agreed to before we could convince them to fight with us for larger, warranted increases.
