Dear MSCA Librarians and Day Faculty,

The APA and MSCA are working with other higher education unions to urge Governor Baker to send our contracts to the Legislature to start the process of funding our salary increases and bonus payments.

Earlier this month the Board of Higher Education and the UMass Board of Trustees sent a number of contracts to the governor, as required in the Collective Bargaining Law (Chapter 150E). The next step is for the governor to ask the Legislature to fund (or validate) these contracts. This step has yet to take place.
