Chapter presidents have received questions from members regarding the status or “Work to Rule” given a newly ratified day contract. At its meeting on April 5, 2019, the MSCA Board of Directors made no changes to its recommendation that members continue to operate under Work to Rule.

Although the MSCA has heard that the governor is unlikely to reject the new contract (and that the contract will ultimately be funded), the MSCA has no word from the executive branch at this time regarding the contract that was submitted 10 days ago. As a result, the MSCA Board believes it is premature to stand down from Work to Rule

The MSCA Board meets again on April 26, 2019.
