Public Higher Ed and ARPA

Dear MSCA Librarians and Faculty,

MTA has put together a one-hour virtual meeting with dozens of legislators and legislative aides from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17th.  You can view a flyer about the meeting here (with a link to register), or register directly here.

The purpose of the meeting is for legislators to here directly from us – higher education workers – on how we feel the legislature/governor should allocate the $5.3 billion coming to Massachusetts as part of The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021.

Please consider attending and expressing directly to legislators, how you feel these important funds should be expended.  Please know that there will be additional opportunities to continue to voice our opinions this summer and into the fall.

I hope to see you there!

CJ O’Donnell
MSCA President
