Collective Bargaining Agreements

Our Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs, for short) are the contracts between our state universities and MSCA. CBAs are crucial in the realm of labor relations and are negotiated through a process called collective bargaining. Our bargaining benefits us in many ways, including but not limited to: wining wages and benefits; working conditions; the right to file grievances; establish measures to protect job security; and more. Our CBAs are where we negotiate our rights, our labor, strive towards equitable workplaces, and where we find our collective strength. There are two CBAs that MSCA and the Council of Presidents (i.e. the Management team from across the nine universities) negotiate: our Day Contract and our Division of Graduate and Continuing Education Contract, shortened to DGCE in most communications.

On this page you can find critical information that center around our CBAs, including:

  • The current versions of the CBAs

  • The Personnel Calendar, which is the critical timeline for members and administrators.

  • Key Day Contract Forms

  • Any Memorandum of Agreement (MOAs) that have shaped our bargaining outside of the CBA
