ATTENDANCE: Aiyeku, Billings, Buchanan, Everitt, Farahbakhsh, Gould, Hanrahan, Krugman, Luddy, McGee (President), Sturgeon.

The meeting was called to order by Paul McGee, the President, at 2:06 p.m. in the Essex County Room.

1. Approval of Minutes It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes 01-02:2 The motion carried.

2. Treasurer’s Report; The treasurer reported that no new money has arrived yet, and there are some back bills to be paid. Both the local and state organization are experiencing cash flow problems. We expect an influx of cash in November . It was moved and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s report. The motion carried.

3. President’s Report.
-The Holiday party will be on December 10 in the Martin Luther King Room.
- The motion passed in the last board meeting was brought to the Board of Directors. They sent it on to the bargaining team. -Contract funding status changes hourly. The legislative session may be extended beyond November 21. There may be a supplement to the budget which will contain our funding so that Governor Swift can sign it.
-There may be an action day on which faculty will take a personal day to make a trip to the State House. A lengthy discussion followed. The President formed a Strategy Committee: Massoud Farahbakhsh, Paul McGee, Amy Everitt, Lynne Hanrahan.
-Dean Greenstein is looking into paying faculty DGCE stipends prior to January 1. Mark Peters and Bob Whalen are working on this matter.
-A committee was formed last year to examine the Chapter Secretary’s pay. The committee is reconstituted to look at benefits and will make a recommendation to the Executive Board.


The meeting was adjourned at 3:21.
