ATTENDANCE: Arakelian, Billings, Burchsted, Cullen, Everitt,  Luddy,
Markunas (President), Marsella, Raudzens, Sturgeon.
GUEST: Arlene Greenstein, Dean of Continuing Education.

The meeting was called to order by Patricia Markunas, the President, at 2:30 p.m. in the PDR.

Approval of Minutes:
The Minutes of 99-00:3 were approved.
 

Dean Greenstein entertained questions from the Board:
She discussed the following issues:
Copy machine availability
An overview of her experience thus far
Information on majors enrolled
Proper distribution of lab fees
Curriculum problems
Administrative philosophy
 

President’s Report:
A. Bargaining update.
B. Grievance update:
“Let the record reflect our thanks to William E. Mahaney, Donna Sandy Quinn, both of the MTA, for achieving the settlement of twenty-three grievances, all related to a single case.”
C. The Curriculum Committee and Academic Policies Committees have been convened to deal with BHE issues such as “The Rule of 5.”
D. It was moved and seconded to request a meeting with Ron Paterson.
The motion carried.
E. Human Resources issues: the lost week of pay is becoming more complex, involving TSA’s and other issues. Please forward the names of all people who are affected. We expect many problems. Concerns about the attendance policy
were also voiced.

The meeting adjourned at 4:00 pm.
