Changes to Higher Education Program 2004 Summer Conference

Due to a sudden scheduling conflict, Steve Tocco will be unable to come to Williamstown. Therefore, the new schedule for Williamstown is that we will have two Higher Education Leadership Council (HELC) Meetings on Wednesday, August 11, 2004. One will be in the morning and the other in the afternoon. All MTA members, PreK-Graduate School, are welcome to attend.

HELC I 10:45 AM – 12:45 PM Mission East Lounge

Off Mission Park Dining Room

This session will deal with the Fall Senatorial Elections. Jo Blum, Director of Governmental Services, and Cathy Fichtner, Governmental Services Consultant, will give an overview of MTA’ s Election Campaign Plan. Ann Clarke, General Counsel, will speak to the campaign finance law.

HELC II 1:45 PM – 3:15 PM Mission East Lounge

Off Mission Park Dining Room

This session will include a brief legislative update and a strategizing round table as to what, if any, joint actions our higher education locals should take to bring our collective bargaining negotiations to successful closure.

There has been no change to the Higher Education Luncheon which is on Wednesday, August 11th from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm.

Don’t forget…the Higher Education Cocktail Party on Wednesday, August 11th beginning at 9:00 pm (until 11:00 pm) in Dodd, Living Room.
