This message includes the list of representatives who signed a MTA-sponsored letter to Speaker Finneran to urge an override vote on the higher education contracts.

Several of you have requested a copy of the list of legislators who signed a letter to Finneran on the last days of the session, asking Finneran to permit an override vote on the Governor's veto of 85/15 and the contracts. You can find that list below.

Please Note - Of the approximately 106 legislators who signed onto the letter:

1) Several other legislators tried to sign onto the letter toward the end of 7/31/02 (the last day of the session) but were told they could not because the letter had already been delievered to Finneran.

2) There are some legislators who would not sign the letter, but did in fact play an advocacy role for us in trying to get the contracts (and 85/15) overridden.
