Dear MSCA Faculty and Librarians:
Thanks to everyone who participated in the governance referendum held over the past two days. I am pleased to announce that, of the eight campuses that voted this month, all eight voted by a strong margin for Option One, to uphold the current system of governance (Article VII), as recommended by the MSCA Board of Directors. The specific results by campus are as follows:
Bridgewater 60 votes in favor of Option One 9 votes in favor of Option Two
Fitchburg 72 votes in favor of Option One 3 votes in favor of Option Two
Framingham 51 votes in favor of Option One 2 votes in favor of Option Two
Mass Art 21 votes in favor of Option One 0 votes in favor of Option Two one challenged ballot
MCLA 45 votes in favor of Option One 12 votes in favor of Option Two
Salem 101 votes in favor of Option One 5 votes in favor of Option Two
Westfield 81 votes in favor of Option One 3 votes in favor of Option Two
Worcester 70 votes in favor of Option One 1 vote in favor of Option Two
Overall, this means that 93% of the votes cast supported the current system of governance.
Thanks again to those members who cast their ballots in this referendum. The Mass Maritime referendum will be held on March 22 and 23.
