Dear MSCA Faculty and Librarians:

We have been notified by the attorney for the Council of Presidents, Mark Peters, that Peter Tsaffaras, staff member for the Board of Higher Education, has notified the colleges that the target date for the first two sets of pay increases for MSCA members, including retroactive monies, is January 27, 2006.

These pay increases would include the raises effective on March 1, 2005 and July 1, 2005. We do not know whether retroactive payments due department chairpersons and part-time faculty would be paid at the same time.

From past experience, this turnaround for the implementation of these pay increases seems optimistic. Please keep in mind that this process could take longer. As soon as we are able to confirm this information directly, we will post a revised spreadsheet on the MSCA website for members to use to calculate these pay increases and the retroactive monies that they can expect to receive.
