Dear MSCA Faculty and Librarians:

At 11:15 this morning, the governor signed the supplemental budget bill that contained the funding for our 2004-2007 collective bargaining agreement. Funding for the 2003-2006 MCCC contract was also contained in this budget bill.

The funding is now considered "enacted" and the provisions of our agreement that were contingent on enactment are now in effect. For those faculty and librarians who chose Alternative One under the post-tenure review process, the final portfolio deadline will be at least 45 days from this date. These faculty and librarians will receive an official notification of the deadline from the local campus vice president for academic affairs.

Again, I do not know how long it will take for the colleges to implement the pay increases under the agreement, but I will be sure to notify you when I have received confirmation of these dates.
