Dear MSCA Faculty and Librarians:

Just a few minutes ago, Donna Sirutis and I picked up a copy of the
governor's funding request for our collective bargaing agreement from the
House Clerk's office in the State House.

It is House Docket Number 4835, and includes a request for funding the
MCCC agreement as well as nine other non-higher education agreements.
A bill number will be assigned soon.

At this point, we will work towards having the bill amended to the
supplemental budget bill that is currently in the Senate Ways & Means
Committee. We will keep you posted on the bill's progress through the
legislature.

Many, many thanks to all who made phone calls and sent email messages
to Administration & Finance, the Chancellor's Office and the Board
Chairman's Office to urge the governor to file our request.
