Dear MSCA Faculty and Librarians:

The House Committee on Ways & Means is considering a deficiency budget bill for FY 2005 to pay leftover expenses from last year. Action is expected during the week of September 19th. The contract funding request for the APA contract may be included in this bill, and we want the MSCA contract funding bill to be included as well. In order for this to happen, the governor must sign the MSCA contract funding request and send it to the legislature, soon.

MSCA leadership has been in direct contact with members of the Board of Higher Education, college presidents and stae college trustees to ask them to contact the governor's office and the Executive Office of Administration & Finance (Eric Kriss). We are requesting them to urge the governor to file the MSCA contract funding fill as soon as possible.
