Dear MSCA Faculty/Librarians at Westfield and MCLA:

A long-promised meeting in western Massachusetts by the Board of Higher Education will be held on Thursday, September 15th, beginning at 9:30 am in the Church Street Center at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams.

The MSCA Board of Directors has requested that I address the BHE at this meeting to express our frustration over the delays in the process of getting gubernatorial action on the funding request for our contract. It would be powerful and helpful if as many MSCA members in the western part of the state could come to this meeting to support our message there. Picket signs and stickers will be available.

I know that this is short notice, but any time you could spare to attend this meeting would be appreciated. We will keep you posted on the progress of the contract funding request.
