Dear MSCA Members:

At a meeting this afternoon at the State House, it was announced that Eric Kriss, Secretary of Administration & Finance, had recommended to the governor that he sign legislation to request that the MSCA contract be funded by the leguslature.

We have nothing in writing as yet, and we do not know whether the governor has, in fact, signed the legislation. However, three college presidents, the presidents' executive officer, the chancellor and the chairman of the Board of Higher Education were present when the announcement was made.

As soon as written confirmation of this information has been received, we will notify the membership again and post the legislation on the MSCA website. Thank you, once again, for your continued support and patience.
