Dear Colleagues:

Today, June 1st, marks 337 days since the expiration of our day unit contract and 610 days since our last pay increase. The mediation session scheduled for today was canceled for lack of any change in the employer's offer of no salary package to accompany a one-year extension of our contract.

On June 7th, we have been promised the employer's proposal for a three-year contract. We are not optimistic that this proposal will represent a fair economic package or offer any improvements in working conditions or benefits.

On June 15th, the Board of Higher Education will meet at Framingham State College beginning at 9:30 in the morning in the McCarthy Campus Center. Please plan to join your colleagues from around the state to protest the conditions at the bargaining table.

Further information will be provided through campus mail on June 7th and by email after we have received the employer's proposal.
