Dear Colleagues:

The contract funding bill has been sent to House Ways & Means. As MTA requested, it was amended by the Public Service Committee to require full funding of the contracts.

What can our members do now?

1) Members should call their state reps and ask 2 things:
a) What has happened since we spoke with you last? Have you talked to Finneran? What did he say?
b) Would you speak again to both Finneran and Rogers about moving soon on this matter. (Since the legislative session recesses on Nov 19)

2) Members should then call their state senators, ask for an update and also request that those senators speak to Senate President Travaligni and Senate Ways & Means Chair Theresa Murray.

3) House leadership has just called for a Dem Caucus this Wed (tomorrow) at 1PM. If by any chance some of your folks could contact your local legislators BEFORE the caucus, it would be helpful to ask those legislators to bring the contract issue up in that caucus - Regardless of what else House leadership chooses to discuss in the mtg.
