Dear Colleagues:

I am sorry to report that the House Ways & Means Committee did not include funding for any collective bargaining agreement in its deficiency budget, which was adopted by the full Legislature on Monday afternoon. Members should continue to contact their state representatives, to have them contact John Rogers and Thomas Finneran, to urge that the MSCA contract funding move forward.

On Friday, BHE chairperson Steve Tocco and Chancellor Judith Gill will meet with the higher education union leadership statewide. My number one issue to raise with both of these individuals is the funding for our contracts.
