Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to report to you that the 2001-2003 MSCA/BHE contract was finalized and initialed by the parties on Tuesday afternoon of this week. Copies are being prepared. In addition, the MSCA Webmaster, Nancy George of Salem State, is in the process of posting the entire text, including the appendices, on this site.

Late last week, each chapter president received three copies of a draft copy of the contract that was 99% complete and accurate. Please contact your chapter president for further information should you need to review specific language or want to know how to access the draft.

My opening year report to the membership should have been distributed by email or through campus mailboxes by now. Please contact me if you did not receive a copy or you have any union-related concerns. My best wishes for the upcoming academic year.
