I am pleased to report that the 2000-2003 contract between MTA/MSCA/DGCE and the BHE/COP was ratified by vote of the membership on February 27th. One hundred valid ballots were cast; 98 ballots were in favor of ratification, two were opposed. Thanks to everyone who helped in the ratification effort and to those members who voted.

I apologize for the lateness and brevity of this message to you. My trip to California and the closure of the SSC campus for the past three days made my weekly communication difficult. I will report in greater detail on the activities of the MSCA over this weekend. Thanks for your understanding.
