Dear Colleagues,
The current one-year collective bargaining agreement will expire on June 30, 2008. Negotiations on a successor agreement will begin in early February.
The Bargaining Committee has put together a survey of issues that are likely to be discussed during these negotiations. We encourage you to complete the online survey, which can be found at:

The survey will be available from December 5 until December 19. Tabulated results of the survey will not be made public. Instead, the Bargaining Committee will use the results to put together a package of proposals that will enhance our professional lives and guide the committee during the negotiations.
There is a section at the end of the survey for written comments. This section allows you to propose specific language changes that you would like to see implemented, or to address any other subject that was not covered by the survey. All written comments will be kept anonymous and will be reviewed by the Bargaining Committee.

The paper survey will be accompanied by directions for filling out the survey and a postage-paid, pre-addressed return envelope.
