WOW! My first "President’s Message!" Who would have ever thought…and I don’t have a good cartoon!
I would like to thank to Salem Chapter/MSCA 2000-2002 officers and Executive Committee members for their willingness to serve. I would also like to thank the membership for electing me President. Summer Chapter Office Hours
As of June 15, 2000 the summer Chapter office hours will begin. Kathleen
Ell will work from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays only. Members
can continue to call (978) 542-6366 if they need to contact any
officer. Voice mail will be checked on a regular basis. Email can be sent
to the following officers if you require an immediate response.

Special MSCA Board Meeting Scheduled
A special meeting of the MSCA Board of Directors has been called for
Wednesday, May 17th, beginning at 10:00 am in Sullivan Building 222B
at Worcester State College. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss
the resolution made at the end of the MSCA Delegate Assembly to hold a
second election for MSCA President. We have no further information about
the meeting or the second election. This meeting is open to all members
of MSCA and you are encouraged to attend if you have concerns about the
entire election process.
Nominations Needed for Committee Vacancies
A large number of committee vacancies still exist. We are therefore,
requesting additional names to fill these committee vacancies. If you are
interested in serving on any of these committees, please fill our the form
below, stating the committee(s) you wish to serve on, and send it to the
Salem Chapter/MSCA Office no later than Monday, May 22nd
at noon. Please contact Paul F. McGee if you have any questions.
2000-2002 Contract Committees:
College Union Policy. (2) One vacancy exists.
O’Keefe Complex Policies & Procedures. (3) Two vacancies
exist.
Foreign Language Waiver. (3) All three vacancies exist.
General Studies. (4) One vacancy still exists in Area B
only.
Financial Aid. (2) Both vacancies exist.
2000-2002 Non-Contract Committees:
Honor & Memorialize. (3) All three vacancies still exist.
Academic Speakers & Honorary Degrees. (3) One vacancy exists.
College Wide Assessment Committee. (11) Five vacancies still
exist.
Council on Teaching & Learning. (10) One vacancy exists
for a One-year term (1999-2001).
